This is an on-grid solar pumping installation, which powers a submersible pump in a well. Bombeatec carried out the turnkey execution, including the installation of solar trackers, solar panels, and the DC PUMPING STATION.
The system can operate in hybrid mode to meet water needs during peak demand months or in standalone mode to avoid consuming power from the grid when the client prefers. It also includes consumption management from the grid to ensure that, during hybrid mode, the contracted power for each tariff period is never exceeded, thus avoiding possible penalties for overconsumption.
This is achieved by adjusting the equipment to the optimal working point, prioritizing the use of all available energy from the photovoltaic plant. If additional energy is required (e.g., on a very cloudy day), the system limits the power drawn from the grid to the contracted power for each period. This has allowed the client to reduce contracted power without incurring penalties.
Since this is a direct irrigation system from the well, it is essential that the photovoltaic generator is mounted on a single-axis solar tracker with a North-South orientation to achieve the desired pumping results and operate efficiently under different hydraulic regimes. It also maximizes the operating hours required by the irrigation community during the peak irrigation season.
The system is fully autonomous thanks to the DC PUMPING CONTROLLER, which intelligently manages the system. Key features include:
